After the oil extraction process at the mill, we begin a new journey: the recovery and recycling of our waste . This is when the possibility of using these olive pits as biomass arose, for air conditioning our own facilities and those of local customers.

Origin of the brand It was born like this
Thus was born NovaBio, a registered trademark belonging to the company SAT nº 5 EL CIERZO , the fifth national agricultural transformation company established in 1981 and owner of our commercial oil brands: Arbara and Cierzo.

Biomass logistics center
SAT nº 5 EL CIERZO is a family business dedicated to agriculture and the processing of agricultural products. For several years, it has repurposed its facilities as a Biomass Logistics Center where olive pits are processed.

Biofuel research
Currently, Sat Nº5 El Cierzo collaborates with Circe (Center for Research on Energy Resources and Consumption) in conducting various studies and trials related to biofuels.
